Orange Pi R2S Provisioning

Automated Device Setup for Restaurant Monitoring

The Orange Pi R2S is a compact network device used by EmiliaVision to capture and stream camera feeds from restaurant locations. Each device connects to the EmiliaVision network automatically through a one-time USB provisioning process.

Target audience: Field technicians and operators responsible for deploying devices at restaurant locations.


How It Works

What You Need

USB flash drive 4GB minimum, will be erased
Ethernet cable For internet connection
USB-C power adapter 5V / 3A minimum
Provisioning image orangepi-provision-exp-YYYY-MM-DD.img.xz
Balena Etcher Free tool to flash the USB

Important Notes

Image Expiration

The provisioning image contains an authentication key with an expiration date included in the filename (e.g., orangepi-provision-exp-2026-05-11.img.xz). Do not use the image after its expiration date. Contact the EmiliaVision team for a new image if needed.

No Terminal Required

The entire process uses graphical tools only. No command-line knowledge is needed.
